What You Will Do 

Responsibilities: 

  • Follow principles of design thinking for the creation of all printed and digital marketing materials and sales assets speaking to our primary audience of Educators and ensuring all design deliverables are cohesive across all channels.
  • Maintain and expand Sphero’s visual identity as well as branding for specific product lines (logo development, typography, color palette, design style).
  • Work closely with our Content team to design educational materials for print and digital use. 
  • Support our international sales team and partners with printed materials, banners, displays, etc. for tradeshows.
  • Design of product packaging files for print production to align with marketing/sales goals, compliance regulations, and print parameters/dielines. 
  • Help manage the execution of video and photo assets to ensure all deliverables align with overall sales and marketing goals (ideating new concepts, storyboarding, sketching, motion graphics).
  • Assist in brainstorming and execution of all marketing campaigns and support the overall team efforts by solving problems through design and accomplishing creative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience within an advertising or communications agency, graphic design firm, in-house marketing team. 
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Applications. Fluency with InDesign and how it works with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with Video editing (Premiere, After Effects, Capcut, Resolve).
  • Familiarity with Social and E-commerce Media formatting. 
  • Knowledge of brand identity, voice, and the ability to define and adhere to brand standards.
  • High attention to detail and focus on organization. Loves checklists and checking them twice to ensure that things run smoothly and efficiently. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and re-prioritize as needed based on deadlines and complex tasks.
  • A strong eye for visual composition, layout skills,  and incredible typography skills with extensive knowledge of visual hierarchies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, the ability to give and receive constructive feedback as well as clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices.
  • Understanding of marketing, production, branding identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Spring out of bed knowing that you get to support kids learning today!
  • Say hello and good morning to your teammates on Slack with a cat gif.
  • Open up Trello and review your creative requests for the day.
  • While sipping on a warm beverage, fire up Illustrator or InDesign and start making magic happen.
  • Reach out to your teammates on how you can assist with other tasks.
  • Check your Slack for any communications and respond accordingly with appropriate information or revisions.
  • Take a brief walk in the sunshine to find a bench to sit on and eat your sandwich lunch.
  • Collaborate with your team on designs.
  • Button up any revision requests that may have rolled in while you were "heads down."
  • Close to dinner time! Connect with team to communicate any questions or updates you may have (you are encouraged to do this throughout the day).
  • Sign off to spend time doing what makes you happy! Balance is important.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $86,000 - $96,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
